Hanoi (Day 4)

Woke up as early as 6.00am for Subuh prayer. My friends were still sleeping. I'm the first one to go into the toilet. Subuh.. Then shower. Hot water. But eventually hot water supply depleted. Thank god I had actually finished taking bath.

While my friends were still sleeping, I went out of the room. Mists everywhere. And just realised that we were anchored only few meters away from the Island. It was really cold at that time around 10 degrees I think.

At 8.00am we had our breakfast at middle deck. Just usual bread and jams with hot water. Then we were instructed to change to another boat which will headed back to Halong City. While cruising there we've tried to drink Vietnam coffee. Of course they charged for few Vietnam Dong, can't remember how much but it doesn't cost fortune. It was delicious. You need to let all the water dripping down into the glass. Let it full.

At 11.00pm we arrived at Halong City. They took us to lunch at one of the partner hotel there. Same menu - rice, fish cakes, vegetables, etc. After that they let us to walk around Halong City before taking us back to Hanoi. While walking around there was a guy attempted to talk in Malay, offering us a sex service, obviously we rejected. Haha. There's nothing much in the city. You can see Vietnamese do what they do everyday - market, schools, trading, etc.

12.45pm we're back at the hotel. Ready to depart to Hanoi by bus. This time my friend and I sit behind the bus driver while another one sit back at the bus. After 5 hours or so journey, we arrived in Hanoi. They will send everyone wherever by request.

We were not sure where was our hotel so they dropped us at previous hotel there, Then we walked around. Lost around Hanoi. Then finally arrived at Hanoi City Hostel. Checked in there. The room was great, greater than our first night hotel where we stayed.

After that we had our dinner at Little India Restaurant, again. Ordered local California roll and some kebab with rice. It was delish! Looked around for last minute souvenir. Bumped into a 10 year old kid who manned the shop assisted by his mother. Can speak Malay a little. The shop is at the corner near to a busy street that have big LED screen, near to the lake. I bought a hat and few fridge magnet, while my friends bought a military hat and coffee.

We head back to hotel to rest and Zzzzzz...
